It might have something to do with the fact that I ran out of my thyroid meds last week and just haven't had the time to go get them refilled. They tend to help me from slipping into a endless cycle of exhaustion and depression. (Can sleep for hours and still be tired...Check. Anti social and withdrawn from activities you are usually up for... Check.) hmmm maybe a trip to the pharmacy is in order, considering I'm not going to be able to slip into approved laziness for 10 more weeks and i not only have a ton of hw this week but a birthday party tonight, choir practice and ballroom tomorrow and the masquerade on friday... bring on the drugs and maybe an energy drink!

Motivation where have you gone?
The first 2 weeks of school I was doing so great I ran every other morning I had no trouble getting all my homework done and done early in most cases but last week I got a gut punch to my energy and it just hasn't seemed to come back yet. I'm still getting everything done but it's taking a considerable amount of effort like pushing a rock up a hill except this time it's my fat butt which in my opinion is much more difficult.

Mormon spinsters, the growing epidemic
How many fresh starts do we get in one lifetime? I feel like i've had a fair share but I hope to never run out because I know I'm going to need them. A college junior at 26 (although i still pass for 20) studying art and spanish, with dreams of grad school, I'm not your typical mormon girl. A returned missionary and still single (gasp, there must be something wrong with her!), life as a mormon spinster can be a rough one, but it's not without it's perks...I have about a million bridesmaids dresses and who doesn't love those? But being fresh off yet another winner relationship (where they wanted to keep me but didn't realize it until they put me out with the other charitable donations) I have turned a leaf and am at peace with the whole dating scene. Usually at this point in the post break up ritual i would bring on the new meat and flaunt it in front of the ex (we all know why) but I have no desire to even bother. All i really want to do is pass my classes and enjoy all my extra circulars is that lame? Maybe, but so is water ballet and people enjoy that too. Although, i did meet a rather intriguing man type tonight. He strolled into the movie theater at my apt complex while i was watching a movie with some friends and as i was the third wheel to my engaged friends ,not an unfamiliar situation, he sat down next to me and moved closer and closer to me on the couch as we chatted during the movie. Sadly that ever inching closer ended after my friend asked what year i had graduated and i had to reveal my best kept secret and watch his eyes widen in surprise. Oh how funny to be considered old at mid 20's. And so i bid that cute man type goodbye and giggled to my self as he rode away on his bike. Each day I wake up and have to laugh at where life has brought me and how my days go by in this soon to be frozen tundra called Rexburg Idaho (barely october and it has already snowed) But it's all parte de vida y me gusta
